Frequently Asked Questions:
1) Will background checks be done on all those working with students?
Answer: Yes, it is our policy to have background checks completed for all staff, substitutes and parent volunteers who will be working with the children. This includes: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Fingerprinting Clearance.
2) Are up-to-date immunizations for my child required to enter Little Lambs Preschool in the fall?
Answer: No, we will be asking for a copy of your child’s immunization record to keep on file if available as we feel it’s your responsibility as parents and caregivers to work in conjunction with your child’s doctor to keep current with recommended immunizations based on age, faith, etc.
3) What curriculum will you be following?
Answer: We will be using curriculum designed to follow Pennsylvania state standards and to supply a Christian foundation as well as using The Creative Curriculum for Preschools as a guide to ensure that our material is developmentally appropriate and child centered. The following link provides more information about the creative approach http://www.teachingstrategies.com/page/ccs_overview.cfm.
4) What happens after I register?
Answer: If you have chosen to take advantage of our online registration option, you will receive an email confirming your registration information and then a “welcome” email from our director. In addition, each family will receive an email in June with detailed class information along with first payment instructions which is due July 20th. Towards the end of August, information pertaining to orientation, our Family Handbook and what your child will need for the first day of school will be emailed to you in preparation of the beginning of the school year.

Answer: Yes, we will be having an orientation the Monday prior to the first day of school during which time you will have a chance to visit your child’s classroom and meet other students and their families along with receiving a packet of paperwork that will need to be filled out and returned to the office.
